Thoughts
“COVID-19 has shifted life in an overwhelming way. It has given me more time at home with my daughter and fiancé, time that we often hope for but fill with other stuff. It has forced me to slow down and be intentional about my time and grateful for the things I often take for granted. This pandemic has also created an anxiety and overwhelming feeling of hopelessness that I haven’t felt before. Consistently worried about my students, wondering if they’re ok, if they’ve eaten, if they’re happy, concerned about my family, and fearful of contracting the virus and not being able to take care of my daughter. Balancing work from home, caring for a small child and sharing space with my spouse has had its challenges but I am grateful that I get to be quarantined with them.”
